Accessibility Statement
Introduction
Health Cloud is committed to providing a website and software experience that is inclusive and accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to access and use our Platform effectively. To that end, we are striving to adhere to relevant accessibility standards and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Our goal is to meet or exceed these standards so that our users, whether they navigate by voice, screen readers, a keyboard, or other assistive technologies, can have a seamless experience.
Inclusive Design Practices
Accessibility is integrated into our design and development process from the earliest stages. We follow inclusive design principles to ensure our Platform’s content is Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR) as outlined in the WCAG guidelines. Our development team is trained on accessibility best practices and uses standardized patterns to prevent barriers. For example, we structure our code with semantic HTML5 and use ARIA attributes where appropriate to support assistive technologies. We strive to write clear interface copy and provide consistent navigation layouts, helping all users (including those using screen readers or other aids) to understand and interact with our application.
Accessibility Features
The current beta version of Health Cloud incorporates several features to support users with diverse needs. We use clear headings, labels, and landmarks throughout the interface so that screen reader users can navigate content logically. All images and other non-text content on our Platform include descriptive alternative text or captions, so that important information is conveyed to users who cannot see visuals. The interface and controls are designed to be fully usable via keyboard only, without requiring a mouse or touch input, which benefits users with motor impairments. We also ensure that there is sufficient color contrast between text and background elements, aiding users with visual impairments or color-blindness in reading content. Our fonts and layouts are responsive and zoom-friendly — users can resize text or use browser zoom functions to increase text size without breaking the page layout or losing functionality. Additionally, where we provide video or audio content (if any), we plan to include features like captions or transcripts to accommodate users with hearing difficulties. We continually assess new features for accessibility and endeavor to conform to WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria in all aspects of the Platform’s design.
Ongoing Efforts and Feedback
Ensuring accessibility is an ongoing commitment for us. As we iterate on the Health Cloud Platform (especially through this beta period), we regularly test our application for compliance with accessibility standards. This includes using automated accessibility testing tools, conducting manual audits, and, when possible, getting input from users who use assistive technologies. When an accessibility issue is identified, we prioritize fixing it as swiftly as possible. We also keep abreast of updates to accessibility guidelines and best practices, and will continue to refine our platform to improve usability for everyone. Our aim is to achieve full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and to maintain that standard as the product evolves.
